Year One Costs $99. Year Two Is the Real Purchase.

Pay one annual fee — $99 — for registered agent representation in Delaware. The address goes on your filings, legal mail gets scanned same-day, and we remind you before state deadlines.

Fair warning before a single number appears: this page is published by a competitor. DE Registered Agent.org sells Delaware registered agent service at $99 a year, and we would plainly rather that money came here than went to ZenBusiness. Discount our opinions on that basis. The ZenBusiness figures below are the company's own published rates, checked in July 2026.

What ZenBusiness Does Better Than Most

The software, and that is not a backhanded compliment. ZenBusiness has built the most comfortable administrative console in this category. Formation records, state filings, agent correspondence and compliance nudges all live behind one login that feels designed rather than assembled. If you intend to run the company's paperwork out of a single dashboard and expect to open it often, keeping the agent appointment inside that dashboard is a defensible reason to pay a premium for it.

Two Prices Attached to One Appointment

Bought on its own, with no formation package underneath it, ZenBusiness advertises the opening year of standalone agent service at $99 plus state fees. The renewal is $199 annually.

Both numbers are published and neither one is a trick. They cover different periods, and only one of them repeats. Delaware requires an appointed agent for as long as the entity stays on the rolls, so the recurring figure describes the actual relationship while the introductory figure describes its first twelve months.

The tail on that opening price deserves a second read as well. "Plus state fees" means any filing bundled into the order gets billed on top of the $99, so what the advertisement says and what the card is charged can be two different totals.

Billing yearZenBusiness, standaloneDE Registered Agent.org
First$99 plus state fees$99
Second$199$99
Third$199$99
Fourth$199$99
Four-year total$697 plus state fees$396

Three hundred and one dollars separates those columns across four years, and Delaware treats the underlying appointment identically either way.

Ninety-nine dollars a year, with a renewal invoice that reads $99 for as long as you stay. Nothing is scheduled to expire, because no introductory rate was ever set. Whatever a process server hands to our Delaware office gets scanned and emailed before that office closes. Public filings carry our Delaware street address rather than yours. A single optional charge exists and we print it instead of springing it: $15 per item to scan ordinary business mail alongside legal process.

What we will not tell you is that nobody undercuts us. BetterLegal advertises $90 a year, nine dollars below our figure. "Among the lowest published Delaware rates" is the accurate description, and it has the virtue of still being true on your fourth invoice.

Moving the Appointment Off ZenBusiness in Delaware

Delaware handles the handover with one instrument, and the wording at the top of it is worth real money. What goes to the Delaware Department of State, Division of Corporations is an amendment certificate headed Changing Only the Registered Office/Agent. Since the state assigns no numbers to its forms, that heading is the identifier, and it is also the price tag: 6 Del. C. § 18-1105(a)(11) sets the fee for a certificate captioned in exactly that narrow way at $50. Fold the same substantive change into a general certificate of amendment and the Division charges $180 for it. Same outcome, one hundred and thirty dollars apart, decided by how the page is headed.

Sequence matters as much as the caption does. Engage the incoming agent before the certificate is submitted, so a replacement is already standing when the Division updates the record. Then close the ZenBusiness plan, and not a day earlier. Cancelling first leaves your entity sitting in the public register with nobody appointed to receive service, which is a hole you dig yourself rather than one anyone digs for you. Sign up here and our registered office details go out immediately, so the certificate can be completed and lodged the same week.
